 Dawson Cultural Resource Inventory
SMITH was contracted to perform an intensive cultural resource inventory on 1,176 acres of public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, San Miguel Public Lands Center, for a proposed Habitat Improvement Project in Dolores and San Miguel Counties, Colorado. The inventory was performed in October 2007 on remote lands northeast of Indian Valley and southwest of Disappointment Creek. We recorded sixteen new sites and various isolated finds, as well as reevaluated a site and added to a previously documented site. The eligibility of these sites is currently under evaluation. |
