 Argo Mine
The purpose of this project was to: 1) reduce leaching and erosion of mine wastes and sediment into Little James Creek, 2) improve water quality in Little James Creek, and 3) decrease the interaction of mine wastes with precipitation and surface run-off. SMITH prepared the Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) document for the project and completed the Colorado Voluntary Clean-up Program (VCUP) document for the project. We obtained a 1041 clearance from the Boulder County Planning Department and the County Commissioners. The field investigation and report was prepared under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer, Professional Wetland Scientist, and Registered Professional Soil Scientist. SMITH will continue to provide Construction Management Services for Argo Mine throughout 2009. |
