 DIA Emergency Spill Handbook
SMITH provided on-call services to Denver International Airport (DIA) including water quality studies, planning, permitting, NEPA, overview of contractor construction and operation, water and well abandonment, air quality, waste management, sampling, tenant compliance, litigation support, regulatory negotiations, air conformity and training, and data management. We also completed an Emergency Response Spill Handbook, which identifies procedures that DIA will follow in responding to a release of petroleum products, deicers, fire suppression chemicals, sewage, and hazardous materials at the airport. The handbook included a series of decision trees that direct the user to the appropriate report list for a spill or release at DIA and the legal citations for each reporting requirement. |
